Lindsay Lohan Leaves Rehab, Due in Court on October 22

Lindsay Lohan now can have a better night rest compared to the one she had in rehabilitation center. According to TMZ, the 24-year-old troubled actress left the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California on Thursday night, October 21 after spending 24 days in the facility.

Lindsay checked herself into the sober living house on September 27 after failing her court-ordered drug tests. The “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” star is due to face L.A. Superior Court Judge Elden Fox on Friday, October 22 at 8:30 A.M.

The hearing will determine whether Lindsay will be sent back to rehab or go to jail for violating her probation by failing the drug tests. During that time, the actress was told to spend a month in prison but she walked free after posting $300,000 bail before checking herself into the facility days later.

Fellow stars have sent their best wishes to Lindsay as she struggled with her drug demons. After Snooki and Mark Wahlberg, now Elton John has sent his. Talking to the Daily Star, the pop legend said, “Lindsay needs to go away to somewhere like Hazelden in Minnesota which is a kind of boot camp.”

And if Lindsay really wants to fight her drug issue, she shouldn’t enter “treatment centers which have televisions and swimming pools. That’s not the way you do it. That’s pampering.” Elton added, “You have to ask for help. And you have to be ready for it, you have to surrender to it and ask for help and accept help and get rid of the people who are around you.”

Marie Osmond Insists Late Son Was Not Gay and Not Using Drugs

Conducting her first interview since the tragic death of her son Michael Blosil in February, Marie Osmond took the chance to clear out reports suggesting her son took his own life back then because he was struggling to deal with his sexuality. “My son was not gay. He wanted to be married and have a family and travel all over the world,” Marie told Oprah Winfrey.

And though the reports are true, Marie wouldn’t consider it as a problem. “It wouldn’t matter if he was – I have a daughter who’s gay. She was the most offended by (the rumors). (The claims imply that) everyone who’s gay commits suicide,” the singer explained during “The Oprah Winfrey Show” which aired on Thursday, November 11.

Beside debunking the gay rumors, Marie also set another report straight. “My son was clean when he jumped. There were no drugs in his system, but I believe the ramifications were there,” she said, dismissing allegation that Michael had been in and out of drug rehab since he was 12 and had been under the influence when he committed suicide.

And surprisingly, Marie admitted that the February suicide wasn’t Michael’s first attempt to end his life. Michael tried the same thing when Marie was on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2007 but his son at that time promised her “he would never do anything like that again.”

“I believed him,” Marie added, believing that Michael finally jumped to his death from a window on the eighth floor because he was deeply confused. “Whatever his reality was, I do believe that there are moments when you slip into insanity and you no longer think rationally. I believe that’s what happened,” she explained.

Amy Winehouse Has Finally Checked Into Drug-Rehabilitation Facility

Amy Winehouse checks into rehab, finally.

The British troubled pop singer has checked into an undisclosed drug-rehabilitation facility Thursday, January 24, her record company Universal Music Group has confirmed.

“Amy decided to enter the the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors. Amy entered the facility by mutual agreement and continues to receive the full support of all concerned,” Universal Music Group said in a statement. “She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards.”

Amy’s decision to check into rehab came hot on the heels of the release of a video showed her allegedly smoking crack and snorting other narcotic substances at around 5 A.M. last Friday, January 18 just hours before she was due to attend a court hearing for her incarcerated husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.

Due to that matter, Amy has canceled her scheduled appearance at France’s NRJ Awards, set to take place this Saturday, January 26. She, on the other hand, is aiming to perform at the 50th Grammy awards in February.

“Amy is the most talented and important musical artist of her generation and has made huge strides on her road to recovery. Universal Music Group wants nothing more than to see her take the time she needs to come back to full health and fulfill her incredible potential with the label,” Universal Music Group added. “All concerned feel that Amy must put her health before all other considerations and will be by her side whenever and wherever they are needed.”

Meanwhile, the authorities have confirmed that they are still deciding whether to launch legal proceedings against the songbird over the much-talked crack-smoking video. “The video has been handed in to us and we are still deciding what action will be taken,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman told People.
